Chef

As a chef, you’ll have the opportunity to work in a variety of settings and culinary worlds within our organization. Osuuskauppa Suur-Savo offers everything from Finnish delicacies to international culinary experiences. We also serve barbecue, pub food, and fast food. So there’s definitely something for everyone. A chef’s duties vary by location, but a wide range of skills is required for breakfast, lunch, and à la carte service. In this role, you’ll get to create unique culinary experiences for our customers. A chef’s position requires training in the field.

Front Desk Clerk & Breakfast Server

At the hotels, you can work as a front desk clerk or a breakfast attendant. As a front desk clerk, you will manage the hotel’s front desk and ensure excellent customer service. Your duties include, for example, handling guest check-ins and check-outs, taking room reservations, billing, and providing general assistance to guests. As a front desk clerk, you play a key role in creating memorable experiences for our guests. Breakfast is one of the most anticipated moments of our guests’ hotel stay, so creating a positive guest experience is important. As a breakfast attendant, you will be responsible for preparing the hotel breakfast, setting it up, restocking the breakfast table, and maintaining general cleanliness. In the hotel’s bustling work environment, a cheerful attitude and excellent customer service skills are essential. Osuuskauppa Suur-Savo operates three hotels in its area: Original Sokos Hotel Vaakuna Mikkeli, Original Sokos Hotel Seurahuone Savonlinna, and the summer hotel Hotel Tott in Savonlinna.

Waiter/Waitress & Restaurant and Café Staff

As a waiter/waitress and restaurant or café worker, your duties include working the register, providing customer service, keeping the café or restaurant clean, and preparing various items such as burgers and coffee. In pubs and nightclubs, your duties will include customer service, serving drinks, cleaning, and ticket sales. In this role, you’ll help create unique experiences and provide excellent service to our customers. The job requires a positive customer service attitude, strong teamwork skills, and the ability to smile even during the busiest moments. Waitstaff and restaurant workers are required to have a hygiene certificate and, in some cases, a alcohol proficiency certificate.
