Sale stores are the smallest of our supermarkets. A small store operates with a close-knit team. Shifts are usually staffed by just a few employees. A Sale store is the perfect place for a versatile grocery store employee who is ready to take on a wide range of responsibilities. At Sale, a sales associate’s duties include all possible tasks in a small store, such as customer service, cashiering, unloading deliveries, stocking shelves, working at the bakery counter, and managing inventory and availability. In addition, in some stores, your coworkers will be the adorable Robots, which deliver purchases directly to customers. The job description for a small store also includes the sale of lottery services and other potential partner services. Work at Sale stores is fast-paced, and no two shifts are ever the same.

S-market
S-markets are medium-sized supermarkets with a slightly larger staff. At an S-market, your job description is very broad, and you’ll have the opportunity to work in a variety of roles, both at the checkout and on the sales — for example, in the dairy section or the produce department. In addition to customer service, your job description at the register also includes selling lottery tickets and other services offered by our partners. The job may also involve ordering products, managing waste, and running the deli counter. In some S-markets, you may also have the opportunity to pick online orders, which adds a nice variety to your workday.

Prisma
Prisma stores are large hypermarkets where you’ll work as part of a larger team. Prisma offers a wide variety of roles. At Prisma, you can work in the checkout department, the grocery department, the household goods department, or at the information desk. In the checkout department, a sales associate’s duties include customer service and ensuring secure cash transactions. In the grocery department, the work is fast-paced and focuses on unloading deliveries, stocking shelves, and interacting with customers. In your role, you may also have the opportunity to pick online orders. In the general merchandise department, the tasks are largely similar, but there the sales associate also needs product knowledge or an interest in the product ranges of various departments, such as apparel, construction and renovation, home technology, or sports products. At the information desk, tasks are very varied and consist mainly of advising customers. At the information desk, you’ll assist with matters such as Veikkaus, Toto, gift cards, product returns, ticket sales, and postal services.
